On the Bolingbrook Park District's drop-in calendar for Monday, October 5, 2026, adult open pickleball at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex costs $4 and runs from 5 a.m. to noon. At midday, the session moves to Annerino Community Center from noon to 2:30 p.m. for the same $4. After that, the public paddle is done for the day on that schedule. That timing explains most of Bolingbrook's indoor winter. The Park District already sells cheap daytime access. The new private venues on Weber Road are built around the after-school hours, evenings, and organized play that the public calendar leaves open.

The morning schedule at BRAC
BRAC houses Pelican Harbor Indoor/Outdoor Aquatic Park, Lifestyles Fitness, fitness studios, and a 16,000-square-foot gym. It opens at 5 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. on weekends. The Monday drop-in calendar puts adult basketball open gym from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $4, next to the morning pickleball block.
There's one catch for early lap swimmers. During school-year weekday lap swim, the district marks 5 to 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as unguarded "swim at your own risk" periods. Swimmers in those windows must be 16 or older, or accompanied by someone at least 16.
If you show up most mornings, the per-visit fees add up fast compared with a membership. Lifestyles Fitness charges $31 a month for an individual, or $27 for students under 22 and seniors over 62, plus a one-time $25 enrollment fee. Group fitness is included. Members also get the pickleball and adult open gym drop-ins free. Guests pay $9 a day. Lifestyles has no dedicated indoor track, so members walk or run the BRAC gym when it isn't booked. Twelve laps around the perimeter equal one mile.
The building is also getting work done this winter. The Park District's 2026 capital plan forecasts a renovation of BRAC's lobby locker rooms and restrooms, starting in late 2026 and finishing in early 2027. Expect some changes around the entrance during the coldest months.
Public options after school
The public schedule doesn't go dark at 2:30. It shifts toward families. On the October 5 calendar, all-ages basketball open gym runs at BRAC from 3 to 5 p.m. for $4. Indoor open swim at Pelican Harbor runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at $8 for residents and $11 for nonresidents. Open swim uses the zero-depth pool and the lap pool. The indoor side also has an enclosed slide, a tot slide, tumble buckets, and a hot tub.
Annerino Community Center has a 23-foot climbing wall with open-climbing hours, plus a gym, racquetball, and a gymnastics center. The building is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
Hidden Oaks Nature Center is the free option, though it's no longer a Park District site. The Forest Preserve District of Will County runs it at 419 Trout Farm Road, with free admission and parking. Its indoor visitor center has hands-on displays, live animal exhibits, and nature-play areas. Hidden Oaks closes at 4 p.m. and is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. That makes it a weekend or Wednesday-through-Friday daytime stop.
That still leaves gaps. Public pickleball ends by mid-afternoon on the posted Monday, and the trampoline-and-climbing kind of afternoon has had no in-town home. Those are the gaps the Weber Road venues are moving into.
Weber Road's new venues fill the afternoons and evenings
The Village's Spring 2026 Bulletin listed both The Picklr and Big Air as "coming soon." The Picklr Bolingbrook was set to open on August 1 at 111 S. Weber Road. Patch reported 11 indoor courts with year-round play for all ages and skill levels, plus open play, clinics, leagues, tournaments, lessons, private events, and memberships. The location page lists walk-in open play and advance booking, along with a pro shop, locker rooms, and a free beginner Pickleball 101 class.
Monthly plans start at $89 for the adult Play tier. Junior Unlimited costs $58 for ages 5 to 17, and nonmembers can reserve courts. Twenty-two Park District drop-ins at $4 come to $88, roughly the price of one month at the adult tier. If you only played the cheap way, you'd have to play almost every weekday morning to get that much court time. What the membership covers is everything the public calendar doesn't: dedicated courts, coaching, leagues, and a junior plan for kids who are in class during the morning session. The location page doesn't list hours, so confirm evening availability before you commit.
Big Air Trampoline & Adventure Park is next, at 161 N. Weber Road. Patch reported on August 12 that it would be the company's first Illinois location, a 25,000-square-foot park expected to open in late August or early September. The announced attractions include a sports court, battle beam, extreme dodgeball, a rock climbing wall with an air bag, a ninja ropes course, an extreme double zipline, and an aerial course. Younger kids get the lil ninja, lil air court, and epic lil slide. The park also announced a parents' lounge with a TV wall, four private party rooms with karaoke, and an all-halal café menu called Big Eats.
"We wanted to create a place where families can spend meaningful time together, whether they're jumping and exploring the attractions, celebrating a birthday or simply enjoying a day out." Waqar Ali Khan, Big Air founder, quoted by Patch
The Village's Fall/Winter 2026 Bulletin lists Big Air among businesses that have recently opened. Big Air's Bolingbrook hours page now posts business hours and a ticket-purchase link, and it describes the park as 26,000 square feet. An older "Coming Soon!" page for the location is still online. The posted hours follow the after-school pattern. Monday and Wednesday run from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday from 2 to 10 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Toddler Time runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Those times differ from the schedule Patch printed in August, and the park says hours can change without notice, so check before you head over.
Nova Adventure Park will be the third venue. The Village Board approved it in May 2025 for 390 Commons Drive in the Bolingbrook Commons Shopping Center. Patch described trampolines, basketball and dodgeball, obstacle courses, a zip line, climbing, children's areas, an arcade, and party rooms. The proposed hours were 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Those were the hours in the proposal and may change. Nova's own site still lists the location as "Coming Soon" without a date. If Nova opens on that schedule, Friday and Saturday nights would be covered too, later than anything on the public calendar.
